Google IPOへ
ちまたの予想通り、SECへの財務状況の提出期限（今月末）を前に、IPO をファイルしたようですね。
27億ドルを調達しようとしているようで、噂通りオークションスタイルです。これは広く株を行き渡らせたいということかららしい。
成功すれば（成功するでしょうけど）、この調達額だと、Pepsiを超えて、アメリカ史上15番目の調達額らしい。
ファイリングにあたって、創設者二人が添付した「Owner's Manual」というドキュメントもかなりユニークなようで、「一般的な公開会社での構造は、Googleの過去、そして未来における強さの根元である独立で強いフォーカスをというスタイルを壊してしまう可能性がある」などと強く考えているようです。
そのため、投票権の強さで二段階構造にするみたいですね。当然、一部から不評なようですけども、Googleだからこそ、こういう思い切った策がとれるんでしょうね。
あと、前から隠されていた社員数が公開されて、現在1907人で、研究開発が596人、セールスが961、350人が管理系だそうです。
創設者は、公開を渋っていたわけですが、ついに公開会社になる。。なかなか目を離せません。なにはともあれ、Netscapeの時の盛り上がりを想起させ、ちょっとWall Streetは、熱くなっているようです。
