# 今日は疲れているので蔵出しです。。
知り合いの紹介で、マーク・ピータセンの英語の壁を読んでいます。この本については、改めて紹介しようと思います。
さて、この中で、「E電」というネーミングについての話が出ていたのですが、このネーミング、審議委員に、小林亜星さんが入っていたのですね。
それで、この件について調べようと思って、Googleしたら、一般票2票だったのにゴリ押ししたなんて話も見つけたのですが、あわせて、Wikipediaでエントリを見つけました。
Wikipediaについては、ちょっと前に興味があって見ていたのですが、すっかり忘れていました。
Wikipediaは、フリーの百科事典作成プロジェクトです。エントリをユーザが足したり、編集したりできます。みんなでよくしてゆくものなわけです。英語／日本語など多国語で扱えるようになっていようで、使ってみるとよさそうです。
ちょっと技術よりの話をします。
Wikipediaを実現しているソフトウエアは、MediaWikiというWikiEngine系のコラボレーションパッケージです。データベースをバックエンドに用いていて、スケーラビリティがあるのがポイントですね。これは使えそうですねぇ。
Wiki自体は、フォーマットに難があるなぁと思って長いことつかっていなかったのですが、メモを簡単に残すのにはとても便利なので、最近常用しています。使っているのは、Pukiwikiで、常時持ち歩いている仕事用ノートパソコンで動かしています。
